Rejecting the Father's Authority.

When you reject the Father's authority, i.e., refuse to denying your "self" (die to your carnal desires of the 'moment' daily), pick up your cross (endure the rejection of others for not affirming them, i.e., for not 'justifying' their carnal nature) and follow after Christ Jesus (doing His and your Heavenly Father's will), all you have is your "self," i.e., the carnal pleasures (sensations) of the 'moment and the world stimulating them, with you naturally craving after them and it, 'justifying' your "self," i.e., dialoguing your opinion, i.e., your desires and dissatisfactions of the 'moment,' with your "self" and with others, affirming your "self," i.e., the carnal nature of man. "Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God." Luke 16:5

"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." 1 John 2:16

"And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven." Matthew 23:9

I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6

"For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother." Matthew 12:50

You have a Heavenly Father who loves you, who sent his only begotten son to 'redeem' you from your sins (covering your sins by his shed blood on the cross), with the son imputing his righteousness to you in your faith in him, who raised him from the grave to 'reconcile' you to Himself, that you might inherit eternal life (instead of eternal death), that you might participate in his holiness and glory forever instead of the torments of hell and death. The gospel message is the son saying: I want you to know my Father. I want you to know His love for you.

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." (Matthew 5:48) If the Father was not perfect he would be like man, living in sin—why apostate's make god and man the same, i.e., "as above so below," 'justifying,' i.e., deceiving themselves and all who listen to them. That is why he sent his son, who obeyed him in all things commanded, i.e., who was and is perfect, to be the way to Him. On the day of judgment it will become apparent whether you have chosen to trust in him or 'justify' your "self", living in, of, and for the world, seeking the approval of men.

"Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." 2 Corinthians 6:14-18
